Upcoming Museum London Exhibits

June 12-Sept. 12 – Arresting Images – Mug Shots from the OPP Museum. Some are over 100 years old – and criminals could be just as scary looking in the old days...

July 4 – Sept. 27 – Paul Peel – a boy and a dog

Museum London will be displaying Paul Peel’s painting of a St. Bernard dog, recently brought home from a private collection in the United States. It will be shown publicly for the first time in more than 130 years. There will also be a painting completed just before his early death in 1892. Also more than 25 other paintings, sketches and sculpture, some by Paul’s father and by Paul’s first teacher, William Judson.

THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY’S PROGRAMME FOR THE REST OF 2010

All meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month at 8:00 pm at the "Old Courthouse" at 399 Ridout Street North, London unless indicated otherwise.

Note that there is no longer a buzzer at the side door of the Courthouse so that latecomers may have trouble getting in. Please be on time for meetings!

History of Middlesex County is now online through the Boston Public Facilities Commission.  There are obvious errors in it however, it is quite readable and also searchable.  Thanks to Lloyd Strachan of Ashton Ontario for letting us know about this link.
