rt&ss.JPG (10054 bytes)There are approximately 100,000 buildings in the City of London.  Of those, approximately 2,900 are  listed in the City of London, Inventory of Heritage Resources.  This number equals 2.82 % of the City's entire building inventory.   Out of the 2,900 buildings in the Heritage Inventory, approximately 500 are designated under the Ontario Heritage Act.  All buildings listed in the Inventory have been screened and represent the most valuable of the City's building stock. Therefore, all buildings listed have architectural, historical or contextual importance.

The chart below lists a small portion of London buildings.  A number in the Priority Column, indicates the priority level of the  building as it is listed in the Inventory. A number in the Bylaw Column, indicates the City of London Bylaw number assigned to the designated building according to the Ontario Heritage Act.  For more information about the Inventory list, please contact City Hall or visit www.city.london.on.ca.
