Can you imagine how impressed you would have been to stay at the famous Grigg Hotel?  This beautiful hotel was built opposite the Great Western Railway Station for Samuel Grigg.

In its early days, this hotel at 332 Richmond Street was called the Grigg House.  Grigg's main rival was the Tecumseh House across the street.  On the first floor were the public rooms including a bar, billiard parlour, barber shop and reading room.  A more formal dining room and hotel suites were located on the second floor with more rooms on the upper third story.

Until 1976, this building was called Grigg's Hotel.
